This session focuses on what "openness" looks like in practice. Speakers from the U.S. and abroad will share concrete examples of how institutions are translating communication principles into real policies, materials and engagement approaches, shaped by different regulatory environments and cultural expectations. We will explore how organizations are building trust through proactive, two-way dialogue that is plain-spoken, values-aware and grounded in ethical considerations.

Through short "flash talk" case studies and a moderated discussion, participants will hear what institutions have changed to increase transparency, what enabled those changes and what lessons may be adaptable in other settings. The webinar will also highlight international frameworks, including European and Canadian transparency agreements, alongside U.S.-based openness initiatives.
