Dendrimer Nanostructures for Selective Cellular Targeting and Drug Delivery
The Visual Sciences and Ophthalmology Research (ViSOR) group aims to promote engagement in vision sciences research among the broader community of researchers at Ohio State. All Ohio State investigators with an interest in vision sciences research are invited to register and attend.

The focus of research in The Sharma Lab (Translational Nanomedicines Research Laboratory) is to develop disease-directed, rationally designed, and clinically translatable nanostructures capable of crossing multiple biological barriers to deliver therapies to targeted locations. They develop minimally invasive cell-targeted nanomaterials using simple design, biocompatible building blocks, inexpensive starting materials, and employing highly efficient chemical transformations for the treatment of unmet clinical needs. This talk will provide insights into the ongoing research in the Sharma Lab focusing on the development of disease-directed, rationally designed, scalable, and clinically translatable nanostructures for target specific drug delivery applications in the areas of brain and ocular diseases and cancer.
