Topics

This accelerated introductory workshop will convene an interdisciplinary cohort of investigators who are interested in learning more about D&I science. By the end of this introductory program, participants will be more familiar with the language and concepts of implementation science, how to build these concepts and methods into a scientific proposal and how to evaluate implementation outcomes to improve health care quality.
By providing introductory training and support, we expect to improve investigators' knowledge of implementation science and build connections among scholars interested in D&I science. This workshop is also expected to help expand the number of investigators who are engaged in D&I science in the future (e.g., submitting and receiving research funding and publishing peer-reviewed manuscripts in the field).

Target Participants: Participation is open to faculty at any rank, research staff and post-doctoral trainees who are new to implementation science. The workshop is open to investigators in a broad range of health and human services fields. Experience leading or contributing to a research study is required (e.g., role as a Principal Investigator, Co-Investigator, Key Personnel). Basic knowledge of research design and methods is also required. Priority will be given to those with doctoral degrees (e.g., MD, PhD).

Format and Duration: This accelerated introductory training will take place virtually, on three half-days over the course of three weeks. See attachment for more information.
