The CTSI hosted the 2025 CTSI Research Showcase on September 17, 2025, at the Energy Advancement and Innovation Center in The Ohio State University’s new Innovation District. The event showcased the innovation and collaboration of researchers supported by the CTSI's funding, training and grant-writing programs. The agenda included presentations from recipients of CTSI Pilot Awards, Clinical and Translational Science Research Program, T32 Training Grants, K12 Career Development Awards and the Path to K, Launch to R and Launch to K programs. These individuals, and their research, represent the future of translational science and the career development and innovation that CTSI proudly supports.
The showcase began with opening remarks from CTSI Director Julie A. Johnson, PharmD, who provided an overview of CTSI’s mission and efforts to support investigators across the translation science spectrum, break down barriers in research and foster interdisciplinary collaboration. Throughout the afternoon, attendees heard from teams addressing pressing health challenges, advancing personalized medicine and leveraging new technologies to improve care for all. The event also celebrated the success of CTSI’s career development initiatives, which have helped dozens of early-career investigators secure additional NIH K and R awards and build a robust pipeline of translational scientists.
After the presentations, attendees gathered for a poster session and reception, connecting with colleagues from across the university to share ideas and celebrate the achievements of the CTSI community. The 2025 CTSI Research Showcase highlighted the institute’s dedication to fostering innovation, collaboration and the next generation of translational scientists.
