RAPTIC Pitch Competition
RAPTIC is proud to host its first-ever Pitch Competition on August 31, 2026, from 3–5 p.m. in EAIC 130. This inaugural event celebrates RAPTIC’s mission to accelerate translational and clinical research at Ohio State by expanding access to key resources, training and commercialization pathways.
The event will feature a keynote address from Dr. Lakshmi Dasi, former Ohio State faculty member, founder of DASI Simulations and an Ohio Venture Pipeline All-Star Winner.
All prior RAPTIC program participants are encouraged to present six-minute pitches, and the competition is open to any Ohio State faculty member developing a device or technology in the health, medical, biomedical or biotech fields.

First Place: $3,000 for continued technology development and de-risking
Second Place: CTSI Voucher

Who can pitch? Any Ohio State faculty with innovations in health, medicine, biomedical, biotech or bioengineering
What makes a great contender for this type of competition? Someone who is ready to move their technology to the next level with an industry partner or funder or is ready to form a spin-out or seeking investment in a spin-out.
What are the rules for the competition? We provide a short template for a pitch deck, faculty are given six minutes to deliver the pitch live to the judges, who will vote for a prize winner.
